Eco Holidays in Gambia: Eco Tourism & Ethical Holidays in Gambia, West Africa.

Africa has a worldwide reputation as a continent that desperately requires help to end poverty & find peace.

"Understand the local culture & boost the local economy through increased tourism..."

We strive to bring our guests in direct contact with the local people to experience their culture and sample their friendliness and hospitality. In general, we offer an insightful, mindful and participatory travel experience to natural and cultural environments, that will assist the well-being of the local cultures and environments for future generations. At the same time our brand of ecotourism produces viable economic opportunities for the local areas.

Ethical Tourism Supporting Local Gambian Business

Although staying in a 4 star resort in Africa will not end poverty, the boost it gives to the local economy is invaluable. Alongside this many local guides we encourage our guests to make escorted excursions to some of the poorer parts of the area- again giving tourists the chance to buy arts & crafts, local food, entertainment etc - which massively increases prosperity in these areas.

Due to the impoverishment of many families and the break-up of traditional family structures in The Gambia an increasing number of children had to fend for themselves on the streets.
